Public Factions
Public Factions
These Factions are well know, household names, whose conflicts are public and newsworthy. Often found in The Feed, Multi-Media, and in the Papers. Non-Player Characters will recognize Public Faction Regalia and usually have a preformed notion of how a member of that Faction will treat them.

Aulrufae
The progenitors of The Wordsake. Aulrufae believe in the small moments and activities are done in the presence of The Great Spirits. The Aulrufae pantheon is as diverse as there are terms for what we are capable. To practice or do is to be in the presence of Aulrufae divinity. The most commonly known deities outside of their culture are Aescri, Lihlel, Orire, Roshreph, and Vishchash.
Cultural Expectations
Aulrufae make up less than Ten Percent of the remaining Ulmfae descendants. Their intermingling with Origin and Gorerce species over the last millennium have splintered them into the wide range of Factions evolved out of the rapid changes of civilization.
Even with Vaia growing from less than Ten Thousand to nearly Fifty Million and swallowing a third of the continent, Aulrufae have kept up with the changing times. Their long lives seeing seasons past and their abysmally low birthrates see the same Aulrufae entering and leaving the public square as different personalities a few decades at a time. The greater culture of Aulrufae has faded into living fantasies of the moment and chasing the whims of the spirits.
Aulrufae Subcultures
As adaptations cause minor changes in evolution by successful mutations generating offspring at the cellular level, Aulrufae will change in various ways with decades of exposure to specific environments. They will also work to convert their environment in the same way their bodies adapt to maintain an instinctual natural balance.
Aulrufae Subspecies Cultures are so wildly varied in what they find comfortable, early studies considered all the Subspecies recorded to be completely different Species, but later found hereditary intermingling was possible.
By some of the academics in our field, especially Orig Allmea who founded the process of cataloging the genus, species, and subspecies of the races of the realm, it is believed the majority of us share one of two common ancestors. The Ulmfae and Origin.
Our most recent studies suggest the commonly worshiped Deities are Origin. If we also consider the documented processes of Ulmdom we have signs the opposite is true. We may evolve into the very creatures we believe we come from if we live long enough, or dedicate our lives to the transformation.
Subspecies Cultures
The defining differences between most Subspecies Cultures are Childhood Development, Education, and Inheritance. With Aulrufae cultures this defining difference tends to be which Wordsake Great Spirit they are aligned.
