Starting the Table, y.164 — Molthern

“Apathy,
Overstimulation,
Exposure, Entertainment,
Losing sight of reality.”
— Gen. Alcor Eustice

The continent during Molthern is established. There are the four great cities, the budding metropolis, and farmland nearly as far as the eye can see. There are reservations for wildlife, forests, and the mountains. The people of this age are educated beyond their own duties. They are entertained by the feed and programs. There is fear of weapons of mass destruction. Polarizing news, and with the borders neatly erased by a philosophy of “They’re just lines on the map.” The greater struggles sit between differences in belief, culture, species, and the drive of capitalism.

Coins & Credits

In the Molthern era, the conversion to digital currency was a fight over the fear of control. Most people wanted to stay with stamps. They wanted to keep from their earnings becoming something intangible, corruptible. The further you move through the years of the Molthern era, Stamps became a, “I’ll make sure I have at least a little bit, just in case the machines are down.” Of course, as the Credit registers became more trusted with 100% uptime, more and more stopped carrying the baggage of coins.

Starting Stamps & Credits: During Itemization starting in Molthern, a character begins with 50 Royal Stamps, 100 Common Stamps, and 2500 Credits. Anything costing more than this needs a background story reason as to why they would have the item(s).

Molthern Starts

Starting Locations

Nearly anywhere on the continent may be home. Large areas of the same belief systems and minor differences in the state of operations do have their clusters

Molthern Rural

The Rural areas of Molthern still operate much like Mediva and Renisans. Their firearms are more advanced. Manufacturing has replaced most skilled labor. A single family may account for large areas of farm land. Villages have all but been swallowed by the larger populace centers. Small towns may have a few hundred people spread out over massive areas.

Molthern Population Centers

Structures have been built to house the many. Large suburban expansions see housing as far as the eye can see in some places. Populace Centers have centralized shopping designed for high traffic and quick conversion. Organizational structures have begun consuming smaller businesses.

The Metropolis of Vaia

Built as high as it is deep, the Metropolis of Vaia has already reached a point of construction to house and serve over 50 Million. All the district planning at this point looks towards a future of more than 100 Million residents. The population of the metropolis alone during Molthern reached nearly 10 Million.

Molthern Technology

AM-Tier Restriction Three

(amtr-three) The Molthern Timescale technology restrictions include anything purely automated or running on a perpetual dynamo. Their firearms are more advanced and they have access to virtual output input devices (VoiD). Manufacturing has replaced most skilled labor. Their transportation no longer requires a beast or a good pair of boots. To say it simply, anything marked as AM-Tier Restriction Four or higher is prohibited. Having such items makes a person a target.

The Story Guide

Over the last century of my life, I have had the honor to witness wonders. Through this written language on the superior technology of print where my words remain unmenaced, I share experiences.
