Starting the Table, y.241 — Amcel

“Here we see the world,
Documentations become,
Alterations of the past,
Playing games with life.”
— Ulm Merci Alsman

Commercial application and public adoption of the Datascape saw the birth of the artificial mind. Reaching back through the bridged timescales to the beginning. Public figures overseeing the districts throughout the era of Ager Ethe were assimilated into the Amcel. A right of royalty to have the pinnacle of what was available.

Credits

By the Amcel Timescale all physical currency had been laid to rest except in underground and out of time transactions. The divide between the wealthy and the poor is so great they live in entirely different existences, and many poor families opt for permanent temporal displacement, thinking doing so led to better lives.

Starting Credits: During Itemization starting in Amcel, a character begins with 5000 Credits. Anything costing more than this needs a background story reason as to why they would have the item(s).

Amcel Starts

Starting Locations

Starting Location in Amcel depends entirely on the character’s home district.

Amcel Physical

Amcel is nearly the same as Molthern, but much farther developed. Small business is practically dead with the exception of passion crafters.

Amcel Augmented

The physical world has a digital world super imposed. Locations without an Aug are your everyday places in Molthern. Amcel is a further developed Molthern in all respects other than the Augmented Digital Datascape.

Amcel Digital

Digital Pockets, or virtual places which don’t have a connection to the physical world, are losing popularity. While in the Molthern period, simulations were so popular among many people, they defined multiple cultures and hundreds of subcultures. In the Amcel, the distinction between Digital and the Physical is nearly imperceptible.

Many users use genre filters to keep a grip on what is physically real and digitally real. A great minority of the population, around thirty percent, rarely leave the Digital Pockets, and have automated machines taking care of their physical bodies while they remain in the Datascape.

The Metropolis of Vaia

The Metropolis of Vaia and the Ozwall are nearly complete. The stability of the district lines are anchored to the Amcel Pylons. The continent is nearly one continuous city surrounded by all of its support structure from agriculture to materials acquisition.
