Hunting Bow

For many the Hunting Bow is the life of their families among Mediva and Renisans. In Molthern it is a sport, and in higher places it is an aesthetic. The standard arrows only do so much, and a true archer fletches murderous arrows.

The Hunt

While other ranged weapons are known for their noise and power, the quiet bow is sufficient to kill and near silent.


Fletcher

Arrows require a bow to use.

Reaching 0 Durability destroys the Weapon.

A bow may be used to Deflect and Parry.

Finally, due to its size, it requires a Draw Action (1 Action Slot) if it is not currently in hand.


Fletcher Basics

Knock & Release

Ready Grip

Wear a buckler or hold a light to standard sized weapon.

Passive: While Knock & Release does need both hands to release an arrow, a small shield or light to standard weapon may be held in the plucking hand while firing. This removes the Draw Action requirement for those items, and allows for seamless activation of Actions between the weapon types.

Fletcher

Craft Basic Arrows.

Routine Craft: 30 Minutes

Craft or repair 15 Basic Arrows. Basic Arrows have 5 Durability and weigh 0.1 Load.

Arrows do not require any materials to craft as long as the Character is not imprisoned or otherwise unable to gather. This includes the Intermediate and Advanced Fletcher Techniques.


Fletcher Intermediate Techniques [a]

Igniting Arrow

Set them on fire with an arrow to the chest.

Routine Craft: 1 Hour

Convert 5 Basic Arrows into Igniting Arrows.

Igniting Arrow

Durability: 5, Igniting Arrows are destroyed on use.
Weight: 0.1 Load
Shelf Life: 1 Day

Igniting Arrows set their target on fire. Every Action Slot or Action Point they use causes them 1 Fire Damage until they spend 2 Action Slots or 1 Action Point putting out the fire.

Igniting Arrows also set flammable objects on fire. This fire spreads 1 Tile in all directions it can at each re:Cycle.

Strong Winds may increase the spread, really strong winds may snuff the fire. The fire will only spread in rain with highly flammable or combustible objects.

Acid Pack Arrow

Burning on the inside.

Routine Craft: 1 Hour

Convert 5 Basic Arrows into Acid Pack Arrows.

Acid Pack Arrow

Durability: 5, Acid Pack Arrows are destroyed on use.
Weight: 0.1 Load
Shelf Life: 1 Day

The Acid Packs burst on impact and deal + (v:8 x Focal Potency) Damage. The Injury Card from an Acid Pack Arrow can not be healed until cleaned out.

Cleaning out an Acid Pack Injury Card takes 5 Action Slots or 2 Action Points.


Fletcher Intermediate Techniques [b]

Fireburst Arrow

Hitting them does more damage, but you don’t have to, to start the burning.

Growth Points: 10, Igniting Arrow

Routine Craft: 1 Hour

Convert 5 Basic Arrows into Fireburst Arrows.

Fireburst Arrow

Durability: 5, Fireburst Arrows are destroyed on use.
Weight: 0.1 Load
Shelf Life: 1 Day

Fireburst Arrows set their target fire. The Fireburst Arrow burst, setting all adjacent Tiles on fire as well. This Fire does (Raw Potency x Focal Potency of the Fletcher who made the arrow) to any Character or Unit in those Tiles until they spend 2 Action Slots or 1 Action Point to snuff the flames.

If your target, or any victim of the Fireburst damage is hit by it multiple times due to occupying multiple Tiles the Fireburst hits, the damage stacks.

Fireburst will not stack when applied to the same area of burning, but it will stack for every unique area it is burning.

Acid Injection Arrow

Long range injection system. Big Needle.

Growth Points: 10, Acid Pack Arrow

Routine Craft: 1 Hour

Convert 5 Basic Arrows into Acid Injection Arrows.

Acid Injection Arrow

Durability: 5, Acid Injection Arrows are destroyed on use.
Weight: 0.1 Load
Shelf Life: 1 Day

The Acid Injection Arrow injects acid into it’s victim. After successfully hitting with an Acid Injection Arrow, the Victim takes (3v6 x Focal Potency of the Fletcher who made the arrow) Fire Damage.

Cleaning out an Acid Injection Injury Card takes a Full Round, and the Injury Card can not be removed until it is clean.


Fletcher Intermediate Techniques [c]

Explosive Arrow

The arrow strikes the target and immediately, Boom!

Growth Points: 25, Fireburst Arrow

Routine Craft: 2 Hours

Convert 3 Basic Arrows into 3 Explosive Arrows.

Explosive Arrow

Durability: 5, Explosive Arrows are destroyed on use.
Weight: 0.1 Load
Shelf Life: 1 Day

Explosive Arrows explode on impact, dealing (5v:6 x Focal Potency of the Fletch who craft them) to all Victims up to 3 Tiles from the point of impact. This boom pushes all victims out to the edge of reach of the explosion.

Explosive Arrow damage does not produce sufficient heat to start fires, it is the force and shrapnel which does damage. Explosive Arrows will deal damage to all objects in the area as well.

Blood Boiling Arrow

Fire on the inside.

Growth Points: 25, Acid Injection Arrow

Routine Craft: 2 Hours

Convert 3 Basic Arrows into 3 Blood Boiling Arrow.

Blood Boiling Arrow

Durability: 5, Blood Boiling Arrows are destroyed on use.
Weight: 0.1 Load
Shelf Life: 1 Day

After being struck with a Blood Boiling Arrow, the victim suffers (7v:8 x Focal Potency of the Fletcher who craft them) Fire Damage.


Fletcher Advanced Techniques


Blast Arrow

Thwomp.

Growth Points: 50, Explosive Arrow

Routine Craft: 1 Hour

Convert 1 Basic Arrow into 1 Blast Arrow.

Blast Arrow

Durability: 5, Blast Arrows are destroyed on use.
Weight: 0.1 Load
Shelf Life: 1 Day

Blast arrows have a 2 Tile Reach from their point of impact. All victims hit by the blast are subject to (3v:12 × 3) damage. The victims are then subject to 5 Tiles of Forced Movement.

Flesh Eating Arrow

Melting.

Growth Points: 50, Blood Boiling Arrow

Routine Craft: 1 Hour

Convert 1 Basic Arrow into 1 Flesh Eating Arrow.

Flesh Eating Arrow

Durability: 5, Flesh Eating Arrows are destroyed on use.
Weight: 0.1 Load
Shelf Life: 1 Day

The Flesh Eating Arrow injects acid into it’s victim. After successfully hitting with a Flesh Eating Arrow, the Victim takes (5v8 x Focal Potency of the Fletcher who made the arrow)

This damage is applied at each re:Cycle until cleaned.

Cleaning out an Flesh Eating Injury Card takes a Full Round, and the Injury Card can not be removed until it is clean.
