Sapiens

Sapiens
Genus: Homogeneous
Species: Origin
Subspecies: Sapiens
Common: Human
We are Human, and being Human is to be anything we set our minds to. Sapiens make up less than Ten Percent of the total population of Vaia.
Sapiens are as diverse as a subspecies can get. Divided by a concept where even the most minor differences will difine them as a completely different subspecies, at least socialy under the coined term Racial Differences.
Other Subspecies view these minor differences as nothing noteworthy, and are far more likely to be prejudice by subspecies than race.

No wondering if the world is at peace while reading in the park on a cloudy day. Being human is a privilege.

Sapiens Starting Kit

Credits: ~c9000
In addition to their Faction Package, Sapiens begin the game with ~c9000 in their Moln Accounts. This may be applied to Session Zero purchases, to improve their Domicile, or leave in Savings for a rainy day.
If the Inheritance choice from One of Many Roads includes items worth more than ~c1000, subtract the value of those items from the Sapiens Starting Kit.

Sapiens Culture

Once the most common subspecies in all of Vaia, back when Vaia was the name of the small port city before it swallowed a third of the continent from the explosive expansion from The Emperor’s Conquest. Every generation of Sapiens shrinks significantly with genetic intermingling, genetic forced mutations and fashion editing, and resources competition damaging familial stability.

Out of all of the Homogeneous species and subspecies, Sapiens are driving socially to be both independent and unique. A major side effect of this cultural trend is diminishing birthrates, especially by couples who are both Sapiens. In intermingling couples, the Sapiens are usually mixed back into a culture whose tenants prioritize families over successful independence.

Cultural Expectations

Moreso than any other, Sapiens are pressured to take up a craft or trade and dominate their field. Before the end of the developmental years, they’re often pushed off into apprenticeship to begin generating income for themselves. Parental push for their children to become independent is a self fulfilling status which reinforces Sapiens cultural decline, at least when compared to the other subspecies of Origin.
