Kiyomen Starting Kit

Aside from their pocket change, a total of which may score them a good meal and a room at a tavern, Kiyomen are dependent on their Faction. Many of them will have a Mescrit accountant among their clutch who handles the humdrum of finances for the whole group.

Kiyomen Culture

Among the most commonly hated species of Vaia, anti-hate laws are enforced to keep the peace in several districts. A majority of families among Origin, Aulrufae, and others have a not so distant relative who was put in the dirt by a Kiyomen in too recent history. Kiyomen do not like to tread lightly, but have become accustomed to the undercurrent of hostility when outside their assigned district subzones.

Cultural Expectations

A common misconception about Kiyomen is their upbringing. Their tough skin has lead many of them to forgo shields and armor for weapons tuned to doing the most amount of damage as quickly as possible. In actual fights, while there are the occasional berserkers, most Kiyomen are defensive fighters who bide their time and take to the offensive as a defense of their clutch. Mescrit are the ones you have to look out for when fighting a Kiyomen. The small, agile, and strangely strong Scrits are much more likely to get their blades wet without ever being noticed until it is too late.
