Accuracy: Base to Hit

Developer’s Notes: Accuracy is our hit chance bonus. There are four types of Action Mechanics involving To Hit. Targets require an Accuracy Check while Subjects and Victims do not require Accuracy Checks. Base to Hit

Targeting

Target: When referring to a Target, the Action requires a successful Accuracy Check.

Subject: A Subject Effect automatically succeeds in To Hit, however, if a Subject is Unwilling, this Action Resolves with an Accuracy Check as if they were a Target.

Victim: A Victim is simply affected by the Action. Victim is also used to refer to a successfully Hit Target in descriptions where secondary effects apply.

Base to Hit

Base to Hit: (Accuracy + Awareness)

When a Character’s Base to Hit Exceeds a Target’s Evasion, an Accuracy Check is not required, but still may be checked for Nat Max Rack and Nat Min Rack Determination. An Action targeting outside its standard range, such as loosing an arrow on a Target 2 Tiles further than base range, can not benefit from Base to Hit.

If you stumbled here by accident, that’s all gravy. We use these pages in our archives as templates, style guides, reference content, and reusable assets. I’m also getting to write the FAQ, which is fun.
