They either think it is true when they speak, or they know it is a lie. Maybe it is their imagination, or maybe they don’t like sharing the truth. Whatever it is, Mythomania has made them such incredible deceivers. It is a shame, often when they do tell the truth to those who know them, there’s an old story about a wolf.

When you lie

A false promise, a detail not quite right, a bold faced lie, make believe flattery, all garbage from the mouth. Those who don’t know you really can’t tell, even the most outlandish words you spin are believable the first few times around.

Deceiving those who don’t know you

If a supporting character doesn’t know you or recognize you, they can’t tell you are lying. Until your words are disproven, then they’ll treat you like someone they know. When you lie at this point, there is the usual discretion. If you get caught again, they’ll know you are a Mythomaniac.

Normally, when you lie, all it takes is having a higher Awareness Score than your audience. Unless it is an outlandish statement. If their Awareness is higher than yours, it is a Clash (v:20 + 1% of Awareness Score) between you and your audience.

Outlandish statements reduce your Awareness Score by 50% or worse, depending on how absurd the lie is.
