Elemental

The elements are very much alive. The surge of addictive power. Every time you draw upon them in urgency, they sink deeper into you. They change you. They grow within you until you are consumed.

Core Effect Tree

Core Effect Tree: Only Available at Awakening

While some have a tepid talent for elementalism and may learn by studying one element at a time, you were born with the innate ability to call upon them. You’ve likely been able to light small fires by snapping your fingers or playfully zap your friends.

Awakening: It starts as a kind of wanting. The obvious solution to problems become fire and lightning. Snapping your fingers has grown into a blaze of fire, and your little shocks have turned into fatal arcs to buzzing flies. You can summon stone, water, or air at a whim, freeze or set them on fire. They’re like spirits, too. They each make you feel some kind of way, energetic or calm, sometimes angry or filled to brim with joy.

They noticed you playing with the elements. This talent is not easy to hide when it is so easy for you to call the elements. They are every day tools, an extension of you.

Temptation of the Elements

The elements have become a part of you. With every cast mastery is gained. With every cast we pay the elements a piece of our being. This power eventually leads to our selves becoming one with raw nature.

Oakening

Oakening Core Effect Tree Talents grant us their associated Root Effect Tree without paying the xps costs. The Oakening range is typically 0 to 3, though some effects may require more growth.

First Wake of Fire - Talent: Firelight [Torch]

Firelight

Harmless flames engulf any or all of your body illuminating the area around you. The illumination can go from the dim light of a candle to a bright torch that bathes up to Sphere: 3 in light.

Effects

Activation: As the Firelight inside you is of its own will, it may activate without the use of your Action Slots. As a will of its own, it has 1 Action Slot each Full Round.

Illuminate: Bathe up to 3 Tiles in every direction centered on you in gentle Firelight. It may seem as if part or all of you is on fire, but this Wake of Fire yields no heat. Adjusting Illuminate takes Firelight 1 Action Slot, and the change takes the Full Round.

Ignite: Firelight becomes like a match, gathering together within 3 Tiles of you to set fire to a Flammable object. During Ignite, Illuminate will dim and be at the location of what it is setting on fire. Ignite is a Within Reason Effect.

Oakening Firelight: 0 to 3

Setting fire to objects and watching them burn is a thrill for our Firelight. Getting to stretch and illuminate the world around us is a pleasure for our Firelight. Oakening our Firelight from 0-3 comes from simple use, and acceptance of the Firelight. Letting it grow.

Frostlight [Chilldown]

Lowering the temperature in a nearby area you specify may make drinks more refreshing, cool you and a friend off on a hot day, and slow the afflicted down.

Effects

Activation: As the Frostlight inside you is of its own will, it may activate without the use of your Action Slots. As a will of its own, it has 1 Action Slot each Full Round.

Chill: You may choose One Victim within 3 Tiles per Full Round at Initialization, then at each Upkeep. The Victim is affected by Slow and loses (v:4) Action Slots for the Full Round.

Prolonged Exposure: If you choose the same Victim a second round, they’re affected by Slow and lose (v:4) Action Slots. They take 2 damage per Action Slot lost from Slow.

Endangering Exposure: If you choose the same Victim a third Full Round in a row, they’re affected by Slow and lose (v:4) Action Slots. They take 3 damage per Action Slot lost from Slow. Then if they have any uncovered extremities, they suffer Maim: Frostbite.

Oakening Frostlight [Chilldown]: 0 to 3

The Frostlight Elemental is the most peaceful and quiet of the spirits. It has little drive to do anything but sit and absorb the heat that surrounds it. calmly waiting for you to feed it. Oakening happens when you use Chilldown to make a drink tasty cold or… violence.
