Cremation

Vast OnumMov-Ai-Onum

Root Effect • Action • Ritual

Granted by Origin Core: To-Na-Onum

We use our Lantern Oil to bring an end to empty bodies which may rise again. To those corpses already risen who would harm us in our duties, a splash may lead to incineration. The spirits who walk with us help fuel the fires. To-Na-Onum who attempt to incinerate the living will be met with their spirits denying them of their power.

Douse

Activation

Celerity: 4 Action Slots
Item Consumed: Lantern Oil
Reach: 1 Tile

Effect: (v:4)

  1. Douse fails to coat the Target in oil.

  2. Douse causes the target to be Barely Coated in Lantern Oil.

  3. Douse causes the target to be Partially Coated in Lantern Oil.

  4. Douse causes the target to be Fully Coated in Lantern Oil.

Note: Inanimate targets always get fully coated.

Incinerate

Activation

Celerity: 1 Action Slot
Spiritual Stress: 1
Spirit & Hostile Spirit Cost: 1 (Willing)
Range: Within your Lantern’s Light when lit, or 1 Tile.

Effect: Ignite Lantern Oil to incinerate the Target. Incinerate may only have 1 Target at a time.

  1. Targets Barely Coated in Lantern Oil take 25 Damage as a Third Degree Burn Injury Card. (Unwilling Spirit 5 Damage)

  2. Targets Partially Coated in Lantern Oil take 50 Damage as a Third Degree Burn Injury Card. (Unwilling Spirit 10 Damage)

  3. Targets Fully Coated in Lantern Oil take 100 Damage as a Third Degree Burn Injury Card. (Unwilling Spirit 15 Damage)

Notes: If this kills the target, they are also Incinerated, leaving behind only ash and possibly a few bones.

Targets which take up more than 1 Tile or 2 Tiles in height are only partially incinerated when deceased by the damage, namely in the Tile where they were doused.

If all the Spirits and Hostile Spirits gathered around the Lantern Light are unwilling, none are consumed, and incinerate deals greatly reduced damage.
