Species Selection

Aulrufae

Those naturally born as Fae are incredibly rare. Aulrufae account for less than a tenth of a percent of the population of Ager Ethe. With dozens of subgenus cultures it is difficult to pin down a Fae with a glance. Historically Fae Cultures were extremely segregated, but less so now with the disparity caused by their minority population. Mixed bloods are common and usually accepted in Fae Factions with few objections. The most common Subspecies of Aulrufae are Agrestifae, Archfae, Harrowfae, and Saikenfae.

Agrestifae

Often called Wildlings or Mosslings, the Agrestifae are the primal among Aulrufae. They remain bound with nature and abhor the destruction of the wilds.

Saikenfae

While they spend every moment from waking to sleep in pursuit of their goals. They are the elite pulling the strings behind the movements of the rest of the Aulrufae.

Harrowfae

Once upon a time, the Harrowfae were slave to a tyrannical deity of chaos who fed on war while amusing itself with cruelty. The remnants of Harrowfae still spend their lives honing their ability to kill for the honors of Orire.

Archfae

The natural charisma and innate ability to lead see Archfae rising into positions of authority in nearly every faction.

Gorerce

The Gorerce, or Savent as they’re more commonly called amongst themselves, belong hereditarily to both Origin and Ulmfae ancestry. Forced into existence for the purpose of fighting a now long dead war. There are only two subspecies of Gorerce. While within the cities we see peaceful, intelligent, and hard working Gorerce, there are still tribes roaming Ager Ethe. These tribes tend to be unwelcoming to their lands to the point of harsh violence. Their inner workings are survival of the fittest.

Mescrit

While physically smaller than their Kiyomen counterparts, Mescrit are every bit as strong. Their way of dealing with the world is pack tactics.

Kiyomen

Proud warriors, loyal soldiers. A breed designed by magic to conquer and defend.

Kiyomen are violent by nature. Their simple social structure is the strongest lead. They are smart individually but quick to anger when threatened.

Origin

Origin Species make up around Seventy Percent of the population of Vaia. Their cultures are deeply seeded in the various Factions. Mixed bloods are common and blur the cultural and subspecies lines. For mixed blood offspring, they are rarely able to procreate due to broken genetics. All Origin Subspecies are stable mutations of the Origin. Though the divisions of those mutations are so ancient in spite of recent capabilities in genetic testing, they still identify as totally different Species.

Sapiens

Human.
They’re just human.
Have mercy on us all.

Adaht

Adaht are the grand entertainers, masters of service and hospitality.

These small folk have left their villages and small towns for the big city. Singers, poets, writers, comedians, actors, and playwrights.

Onym

Possibly the most Tech-Smart of all the Species in Cirrus Ethereal, Onym tend the spend their time tinkering. Outside keeping their hands busy, they’re notorious pranksters.

Barchhra

Honorable Craftsmen and family first in nature, Barchhra want the best for themselves and their kin.

Megreda

Towering over the average Sapiens by a head and a half, Megreda weigh in at a staggering average of 200 Load. Their physique is as intimidating as their wits are sharp. Megreda are typically more intelligent than other Origin Subspecies. There are only a handful of Megreda to every Thousand Sapiens, as their successful birthrate is low. Due to their size heart failure is a common cause of death in their late Twenties to early Thirties.
