The Life Giver, Taker
We often say we leave the Giver when we are born, and we are walked to our afterlife by the Taker. Giver and Taker are one and the same. When there is a newborn, it is said you may find a shadow cast by nothing and no one. In death it is said you may find a shadow cast by nothing and no one.
Atria is the one who brings our consciousness and soul together into our bodies. She is life. He is death. Both one in the same. The fill of Atria marked the moment of Onum. The Vaia Codex says so, in its translations, when Onum began to rise, all consciousness and all souls were then trapped within our mortal coils. It is said we go through cycles until we are once again worthy to be taken by Moridoa, until then, Atria ferries us from one life to the next.
