The Legend of Algung

Before the new world of Ager Ethe was discovered, along the crossing rivers of Noven and Rye, Algung’s people, a calm of Kiyomen and Mescrit were nomads. They grazed the lands surrounding the river as they wandered the banks north and south over a hundred years. So deep in the wildfire territories they rarely came across other tribes, but one day, they found themselves at a wall. Not only had a city been built by Barchhra and Niym, the surrounding area was nearly clear cut of the trees which Algung’s people ate the fruit of, and the forests were hunted barren.

Violence lead to the end of the settlement. Algung’s people grew over the next hundred years, and his name became The Law of Oschedrere. “We do as we must to survive.”

The Algung Law, Oschedrere is cited by many different cultures prior to questionable acts done as a means to an end.

Records show Algung as a reasonable leader. He wasn’t a warlord but a chieftain worthy of respect. Even so, modern interpretations of his Law often land in the realm of taking what you need or want in spite of whether it is yours or not.

Algung in art is depicted as a mammoth of a man leading his people into conflict. The symbols the Graand of Algung bare are of a lower jaw, bare of flesh.

Halls of Algung

The Halls of Algung where his Graand meet and dine are welcome to anyone like most of the places built in honor for the legends of the Gorerce. The Halls of Algung are places where you can find the Algung Graand working to uphold the law of Oschedrere.

Those who are Gorerce, and outsiders who request it, may be brought to any of these halls in stead of being taken to other prisons where they may work in exchange for food, shelter, and proper pay.

Algung Graand

The Algung Graand have grown from judges of their own people to lawyers representing those who have fallen far into poverty or in with bad influences. Their day to day lives are spent fighting an ever growing system designed to incarcerate the poor and needy. Less than a hundred years ago they only helped Kiyomen and Mescrit peoples and families, but as the system continues to try to eat itself from the bottom up, they’ve taken to representing anyone and everyone.
