Effect Trees

Effect Trees allow our characters to do the impossible. Our Core Effect Tree loosely defines our characters archetype and gives us a a basis for back story. We shape our fantasy world with the effects we have at our disposal.

Core Effect Tree

At level one we get to Awaken our Core Effect Tree. Each of the Core Effect Trees have their own unique starting mix of Talents, Boons, or Inheritance.

Talents: These abilities are the gateway to unlocking our Root Effects. They may begin Oakening, or the process of evolution, after Awakening.

Boons: Items & Equipment that are part of the starter pack considered indestructible and are never more than One Full Round from being recovered.

Inheritance: Real Estate, Items, & Equipment that are part of the starter pack that may be consumed, used, or destroyed.

Effect Tree Types

Root Effect: These special abilities usually have a Oakening Potential of 5. Mastering them may unlock Branch Effects.

Branch Effect: These special abilities are upgrades of Root Effects.

Leaf Effects: Abilities not directly associated with Core Effect Trees, Root Effects, or Branch Effects.

Crown Effects: These are the Ultimate Abilities in the game.

The Developer

If you stumbled here by accident, that’s all gravy. We use these pages in our archives as templates, style guides, reference content, and reusable assets. I’m also getting to write the FAQ, which is fun.
