Every Day Carry
Development Notes: EDC, What our Characters have on them item and equipment wise falls within the Every Day Carry weight limits.
Every Day Carry Weight
The base Every Day Carry Weight Load is 50% of Strength.
When we track our carry weight we should keep our equipped items and packed items separate, and identify where items are packed.
We track our Currency in our Packed Every Day Carry. We may also track Currency we have stashed in our domiciles in the Domiciles section.
Equipment Slots
Equipped items mostly follow the within reason ruleset with the following caveats.
A Character may only wear 1 set of Body Armor.
A Character may only wear 1 pair of Socks.
A Character may only wear 1 pair of Shoes.
A Character may only wear 1 Headpiece.
A Character may only have 1 Cerebral Implant.
A Character may only wear 2 gloves, gloves considered part of a pair require both to be worn to apply their effects.
A Character may only wear 4 active accessories.
Equipped items count against Every Day Carry Weight, and a Character can not exceed their Every Day Carry Weight with Equipped items.
Enhancements
Most enhancements provided by equipped Items do not stack with other equipped items, and only benefit from the highest valued source. Enhancements from equipment typically stack with temporary bonuses.
Static Adjustments
Static Adjustments always override base and bonuses.
For instance, if a suit of armor changes the Strength Score to 130, this Static Adjustment overrides the base Strength Score and any other Bonuses.
Only the weakest instance of a Static Adjustment applies. For instance, if the suit of armor changes the Strength Score to 130, and a ring changes the Strength to 210, then the suit of armor’s adjustment is used. A Static Adjustment which is lower than the base value of an Attribute Score effectively lowers the Attribute Score.
Accessories
When it comes to Accessories, A Character may wear as many as they like, within reason, provided they remain under their Every Day Carry Weight.
Accessories are exceptionally rare or expensive and typically do not apply Enhancements or Static Adjustments, instead offering temporary buffs or granting special actions or effects when activated. The Accessories which do offer Enhancements or Static Adjustments count against the maximum amount of Active Accessories worn.
