Wafa Tree

Common Flora

Wafa trees have a smell which most Fauna dislike, and Hominidae either love or hate the smell of them. Wafa Trees only grow to be around seven to eight feet tall, slightly more than 2 meters. Their Sap is extremely sticky, but is completely harmless to digest. The Sap is an amazing preservative, increasing the shelf life of many Alchemical Items by a significant amount. Wafa Tree Sap is the only part Harvested, because stripping the leaves, roots, or bark will kill the tree.

Wafa Tree Berries: During a Harvest, these parts are used to grow more Wafa Trees to sustain the Cultivation Plot. There is often enough to start an additional Plot in a Greenhouse if it has the space to do so.

Wafa Tree Leaves: These thin arrow shaped leaves taste as bad as they smell. Even if your nose is the kind that likes the smell, the taste is awful. They also provide little to no sustenance, and plucking too many from the Wafa Tree will kill it.

Wafa Tree Flowers: Wafa Tree Flowers only live for a few hours after budding, and berries begin growing quickly after the pink petals fall.

Wafa Tree Sap: The Sap of the Wafa Tree is thick and sticky. It will naturally push its way out from around the edges of the bark of the tree. The Sap is super effective against bugs and other pests. A Wafa Tree is a staple in many gardens and greenhouses due to their ability to ward off pests, and people.

Flora Cultivation: Wafa Tree

Any even mildly experienced Botanist or Enthusiast knows the sap is the only part of the tree worth Harvesting.

Controlled Cultivation: It takes about 4 weeks for the Wafa Tree to grow, begin producing Sap, and be Harvestable in a Greenhouse or Garden Plot.

Wild Cultivation: Wafa Trees have been cultivated so long they no longer have the ability to survive in the wild. While they do well in outside gardens, any other plant roots which grow around them have the potential to put the Wafa Tree into high stress, and eventually kill it.

Harvesting Wafa Trees

Harvesting and preserving Wafa Sap is a simple process, just use a simple spoon or butterknife to scoop the sap off the bark of the tree.

Wafa Sap Harvest: (2v:6+10)

  • When you Harvest Wafa Sap, you may simply choose to get as much as you want, provided that value is 12 or less.

Sodium Earth: (v:4)

  • Each time you Harvest Wafa Tree Sap, you may want to clean the base where the Sap has mixed with the Soil. The Sodium Earth will eventually become toxic to the roots of the Wafa Tree. Some Alchemists have even found uses for the Sodium Earth byproduct.
