Factions |
Character Creation |
| All of the built in Factions of The Vorcrux fall into one of Five Categories of Faction Type. Choosing to be a member of any of these Factions determines Weekly Porvisions and Faction Effect Tree. As you drink the elixer of lore, you may stumble upon unique Factions who grant specialized Provisions and have Faction Specific Branch Effects Trees. When it comes to those, discuss your membership with your Story Guide. |
Charities
These Factions tend to attract the kind hearted and find funding and cooperation to fight against pain, suffering, poverty, or some other altruistic mission. Members may go out healing or feeding the poor, provide shelter to orphans and the homeless. Spend time educating those who have no skills so they can learn to take care of themselves.
Faction Provisions: A member of a charity gets a weeks worth of Non-Perishable Rations and new simple clothes any time they need it. The clothes are generally protective against the current seasons weather. The Ration Provision has a maximum stack size of 7 Days, and weighs 3.5 Load. A Faction Member who visits with any number of allies may also share this provision with them. Though more than five or six will turn heads.

Systemic Support
The Major Charities are often cited as the only reason the bottom of the empire hasn’t simply gone to death from famine, lack of clothing, and shelter. Their education systems keep people in the skills they need to survive. Some well-to-dos believe the Charities themselves are the reason people don’t get up and take care of themselves. While statistics argue the other direction, Charities can face many challenges unrelated to their missions.
At Every Corner
Especially within the Metropolis itself, a wanderer could find a member of one Charity or another on nearly every block. Whether kitchens for the needy, bargain, free, and flea markets, small studios offering classes for vocational skills. Churches and Shelters. To be fair, a block is usually more than a mile long, and we’re not discussing alley and sprint ways.
Alter Rina
Alter Rina is a Charity supported by taxes and as an organization is deeply protected by the emperor. Their goals are primarily education and shelter. Often working with smaller charities like Fo-Lul Food Bank to keep their wards fed and Alminima to keep them in clothes until they can find work and save a little to get back out there on their own.
Alminima Missionaries
Often said to be the largest Charity in all of the Ager Expanse. Alminima Missionaries’ Core Tenant is to increase the quality and standards of living up day by day through joint efforts between every organization and other factions backing them. Alminima finds and builds housing for those who cant while also providing necessities such as clothing, dishes, furniture, basic tools, and medical supplies to anyone in need.
Being Part of a Charity
Life is thought as easy for those who volunteer or work for the big Charities. They spend their days in a multitude of roles which often get assigned at random. From working logistics to storage warehouses, stocking bargain markets, serving kitchens, and even handing out fliers. Simple labors. Healers, Cooks, and retired Guards are often given more responsibilities. The Major Players in Charities tend to be multi-factioned. Volunteering duties when they can.
