The Architect
For many, designing buildings is playing around with how many rooms, and what they would put in those rooms. The Architect on the other hand knows where the pipes, wires, and appliances go. They make sure everything meets the code. Will the place survive a wind storm? How about flooding? Will the foundation and support beams be sufficient to prevent collapse if a dragon decides to land on the roof? The Architects know, at least the good ones do.

“We didn’t realize the impact of population explosion the way The Emperor did. Every meeting we all went to thinking we knew what was actually coming, and chafing the young conqueror for that grandiose vision of his. ‘We need to be able to support millions, not thousands.’
At the top of this tower that I designed. At some Six Hundred feet off the ground. That has been standing this tall for nearly Forty years. Looking out over this metropolis of towering structures. Knowing full well that over Forty Million people are between me and the horizon.
The Emperor was no fool.”
