Mechanical Origins: Empathy • Magic
Recovery Dedicates spend their early lives learning the magics of healing through empathy. While they take the moment, and suffer the pain of the wounds their magics heal, they know it is not truly their own pain but many still succumb to the desire to seek out their own hermitage. While those magics eventually lead to becoming Saviors, the most powerful of the Dedicates, further yet the sacrifices they make become self destruction in one way or another for the sake of others.
Dedicate’s Heal
Years of training, you’ve rendered Dedicate’s Heal in all the hospitals you’ve spent as a student.
Growth Points: 10 Growth Points
Requirements: Level 1, We suggest strong back story as to why the Character has mastered Dedicate’s Heal.
Celerity: 1 Action Slot or 1 Reserved Slot
Reach: 3 Tiles
Remove (1 x Focal Potency) Damage from any one of a Subject’s Injury Cards.
Dedicate’s Heal is incapable of removing Hard Damage.
Dedicate’s Heal requires a successful Accuracy check to Hit the Target Injury Card and remove damage from it.
Notes: Dedicate’s Heal requires knowing the Subject has an Injury Card. While the majority of the time they will have witnessed the damage first hand, some Injury Cards are not so obvious. Nervous Bond removes all doubt. Happy Healing.
Injury Card Evasion: Injury Cards have an Evasion equal 5 + 1 per 5 Damage on the Card. The Maximum Evasion an Injury Card may have is 20.
Nervous Bond [i]
The nerves of your fingers through touch connect to the nerves of the touched. You gain physical empathy, able to find and feel the pain another is suffering. This may be excruciatingly painful as you share in the pain, but gives you an incredible advantage when it comes to the focus of your magic.
Growth Points: 10 Growth Points
Requirements: Level 1
By reducing the Reach or Range of an Action capable of Healing to 1 Tile, you increase your Focal Potency of the Action by 1.0.
While Nervous Bond is active between you and your Target for healing, your Accuracy Checks targeting Injury Cards gain a +2 Sensory Bonus.
Accurate Healing
Growth Points: 5 Growth Points
Requirements: Level 2
Add your Accuracy Score to Healing Potency for all Healing Effects for one instance of Potency caused by the effect.
Note: For Instances of Area of Effect healing, or a heal which may apply multiple times, Accurate Healing may only apply to one Subject of the Heal or one instance of Healing. The Accurate Healing Potency adjustment is added prior to resolving Focal Potency.
Neutralize Enfeeblements & Conditions
A mental image of yourself leaves your body and appears nearby.
Growth Points: 5 Growth Points
Requirements: Level 3, Dedicate’s Heal, Nervous Bond [i]
Activation Celerity: 3 Action Slots or 4 Reserved Slots
Range: 1 Tile
Purify: After a successful Accuracy Check vs. Established Clash, you remove an Enfeeblement or Condition from your Target.
Notes: If the Enfeeblement or Condition did not use a Clash to affect your Target, Neutralize Enfeeblements & Conditions causes the Activator to accumulate 1 Emotional Stress and the Enfeeblement or Condition is removed. Neutralize Enfeeblements & Conditions has no effect on effects which can not be Purified.
Anatomical Study Advantage [i]
Your study of the way bodies function gives you a bonus To Hit.
Growth Points: 10 Growth Points
Requirements: Level 4
You gain a passive and stacking +2 bonus to Accuracy Variable Checks regarding To Hit.
Nervous Bond [ii]

This may be excruciatingly painful as you share in the pain, but gives you an incredible advantage when it comes to the focus of your magic.
Growth Points: 25 Growth Points
Requirements: Level 5, Nervous Bond [i]
By reducing the Reach or Range of an Action capable of Healing to 1 Tile, you increase your Focal Potency of the Action by 2.0.
While Nervous Bond is active between you and your Target for healing, your Accuracy Checks targeting Injury Cards gain a +5 Sensory Bonus.
This Effect replaces Nervous Bond [i]
Wound Closure
Heal one wound.
Growth Points: 10 Growth Points
Requirements: Level 6, Dedicate’s Heal
Celerity: 3 Action Slots or 4 Reserved Slots.
Reach: 5 Tiles
On Hit, Heal all damage and remove all counters from a single Injury Card on the Target Subject.
Wound Closure requires a successful Accuracy check to Hit the Target Injury Card and heal it.
Wound Closure is incapable of removing Hard Damage.
Clotting by Cauterization
All the bleeding and hemorrhaging affecting the Target are removed by fire.

Requirements: Level 7, Dedicate’s Heal
Celerity: 2 Action Slots or 3 Reserved Slots.
Reach: 5 Tiles
On Hit, (Accuracy Challenge 10) All Bleeding Counters and Hemorrhaging Counters on the Target are removed. Clotting by Cauterization applies a Burn Injury Card with damage equal to the number of all Counters Removed.
Notes: Clotting by Cauterization may be used offensively.
Emergency Regeneration
Save your ally from Vulnerability
Growth Points: 25 Growth Points
Requirements: Level 7, Dedicate’s Heal
Trigger: An ally within your Dedicate’s Heal Reach becomes Vulnerable.
Emotional Stress: Accumulate 1 Emotional Stress
When any ally within reach of Dedicate’s Heal becomes Vulnerable, you may Activate Dedicate’s Heal.
Emergency Regeneration may only be Activated once per Engagement.
Anatomical Study Advantage [ii]
Your study of the way bodies function gives you a bonus To Hit.
Growth Points: 15 Growth Points
Requirements: Level 8, Anatomical Study Advantage [i]
You gain a passive and stacking +3 bonus to Accuracy Variable Checks regarding To Hit.
Combined with Anatomical Study Advantage [i] your total bonus To Hit is +5.
Calculated Stress Relief
With the right magical energy, you reduce your Target’s stress.
Growth Points: 25 Growth Points
Requirements: Level 9, Dedicate’s Heal
Celerity: 5 Action Slots, or 6 Reserved Slot.
Mental Stress: Accumulate 2 Emotional Stress
Reach: 5 Tiles
Choose one Type of Stress other than Emotional Stress, On Hit (Accuracy Challenge 15) the Target gains 5 Stress Relief of the chosen type.
Calculated Stress Relief can not Target the Activator.
