Archery

Archery is more than a simple act of violence, it is a highly refined, trained skill governed by specialized rules that reflect its precision and difficulty. It is not an innate talent but a discipline that must be learned, practiced, and mastered.

Archer

Growth Points: 10

Becoming an Archer requires the availability of a Bow and at least a few Arrows to practice. Once the basics are mastered, Untrained Penalties are removed when Activating Archery Actions.

Untrained Penalties
Celerity (Slow):
Ready, Draw, and Release require an Additional 1 Action Slot or 1 Reserved Slot to Activate.
Range: Range is divided by half, rounded down.
Damage: Damage is Reduced by 1 Standard Variable, e.g., (v:4) becomes Raw Potency, (v:10) becomes (v:8)

The act of "Loosing an Arrow" is mechanically demanding, formalized into a three-stage action to account for the necessary movements and preparation.

  1. Ready: To be Ready, we retrieve an arrow and get it knocked.

  2. Aiming & Draw: Selecting our Target and choosing a draw weight is the second part of our Action. Draw weight determines damage and range.

  3. Release: The Release is a simple Trigger Action. We check our To Hit Accuracy, and Damage On Hit.
