Wordsake effects and shouts among other things may cause Stacks of Vocal Stress. When at 10 stacks, the character loses their voice, becoming Near Mute for (v:4) days. Unable to use Wordsake effects for the duration. They may speak quietly. Every hour 1 stack of Vocal Stress fades.

Near Mute: Can only speak loudly enough to be heard by adjacent squares (3m, or 5ft)
